BEC
The Center for Behavior,
Evolution, and Culture (BEC) unites
scholars exploring the connections among evolution, culture, the mind, and
society. BEC provides a framework to
facilitate research and training on the interaction among natural selection,
cultural transmission, social relations, and psychology.
Graduate Studies
BEC
welcomes the participation of outstanding junior scholars who are currently pursuing
graduate studies at UCLA on human behavior and related topics. In
addition to attending the BEC speaker series and inter-campus conferences,
(see below), UCLA graduate students can participate in lab group meetings,
led by BEC faculty, appropriate to their research area.
Faculty and Postdoctoral Visitors
BEC welcomes inquiries
from faculty and postdoctoral scholars interested in visiting UCLA during
sabbatical leaves, or in the course of externally-funded postdoctoral
fellowships.
