Broadly speaking, I am interested in researching long-term romantic relationships from an evolutionary perspective. My research focuses on the conditional nature of which sexual strategy an individual will pursue to enhance his or her reproductive success, determined by the properties of an individual, his or her partner, and their environment. Currently I am examining how women's feelings about their partners and their relationship change across the ovulatory cycle, the influence of genetic compatibility on relationship satisfaction and stability, and the hormonal mediators of these effects, including exogenous hormones in the form of oral contraceptives.
